Who can participate in iCredit?

With counselor approval, any student in grade 9-12 in the state of Ohio can participate.

Can I earn credit towards graduation?

Absolutely! You can take any of our courses to complete a course preceding the upcoming school year or to make up credit for a semester of a course you may have failed. Be sure to speak with your counselor about your plans and for help with course selection.

How much does it cost?

The fee for each semester (.5 credit) course is $300. Full payment is due upfront.

When can I register?

Any time!

How will I know that I am registered?

META will send an email with your login information when your course is ready.

How long is the iCredit program?

You have 52 weeks from your enrollment date to complete the course(s).

Do I need to attend in person?

No, the coursework is completely online.

What if I need help?

There are many people available to help you. You will receive their contact information in the email with your login. Our help desk is available by phone Monday – Friday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST.

How can I make sure that my child is actively participating and making progress in his/her courses?

Parents, make sure to include your email address in the registration as well. We will include you on all communications. The student/guardian are responsible for tracking progress and making sure that all courses are finished by the deadline. On the getting started page of this website, you will find a step sheet and video with directions to check progress. Progress is available 24/7 to view and is instantly updated.

What are the requirements for iCredit?

Students must have their own computer that meets minimum technical requirements posted. Students will also need to have high-speed Internet access. Due to intermittent outages, satellite Internet is not recommended.

Are iCredit courses recognized by the NCAA?

Courses completed through iCredit may not be accepted by the NCAA.

Are opportunities for extra credit available?

Extra credit is not available.

Are IEP accommodations made in this program?

Accommodations are not provided in iCredit; therefore, it is important that you speak with your counselor to make sure that online courses are the right option.

Can I withdraw and get a refund if I change my mind after registering?

There is a 10-day grace period for iCredit courses; you may drop courses and receive a refund within 10 days of enrollment. Any courses dropped beyond 10 days of enrollment are not eligible for refund and will be reported to the school with a final grade of I (incomplete) to communicate to the counselor that the course was not completed.

How will my school know that I earned credit?

META will send transcripts to your counselor at the end of the program.
